These pages from the Chesapeake Bay Program provide information about managing fisheries, restoring water quality, reducing pollution, restoring habitat, sound land use, monitoring, and modeling.

Chesapeake Bay Foundation Student BaySavers
The Student BaySavers program targets students in middle and high school around the Chesapeake Bay watershed, involving them in habitat restoration projects and field trips. This site lets you sign up for a free membership to Student BaySavers, discover what exciting projects and events are waiting for you around the watershed, chat with other Student BaySavers, and gives you hints for starting your very own club at school or in your community!
Grades 7-12

Chesapeake Bay Restoration Projects
Included are project ideas that help restore the Chesapeake Bay and provide opportunities for students to gain service learning hours. The Chesapeake Bay Trust encourages teachers and students to write a Chesapeake Bay Trust grant for materials to implement these projects. Projects appropriate for Grades 2-12.

NWF:Schoolyard Habitats Program
National Wildlife Federation offers several programs that you can integrate across your curriculum, including educator professional development workshops, award-winning resources and the Schoolyard Habitats® certification program.

Virginia Oyster Gardening Guide
Download a step-by-step guide on growing your own oysters from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. You can also access resources and contacts related to oyster biology, ecology, restoration and disease.

Anacostia Watershed Society Programs
The Anacostia Watershed Society can provide you and/or your group with a variety of education and restoration programs & events including: in-class instruction, tree & emergent vegetation plantings, river cleanups, storm drain stenciling, river tours, and a host of other programs.

Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay

Chesapeake Bay Trust
This organization provides financial support for Marylanders to promote public awareness and participation in the restoration and protection of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries.

Chesapeake Bay Commission
The Chesapeake Bay Commission (CBC) is a tri-state legislative commission created in 1980 to advise the members of the General Assemblies of Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania on matters of Bay-wide concern.
