These pages cover topics such as the tidal portion of the bay & rivers, non-tidal rivers, groundwater, urban storm water, and restoring water quality in the Bay.

Chesapeake Bay River Input Monitoring Program
The USGS Chesapeake Bay River Input Monitoring (RIM) Program quantifies loads and long-term trends in concentrations of nutrients and suspended material entering the tidal part of the Chesapeake Bay Basin from its nine major tributaries.

Funding Sources for Water Quality
All of the sources for federal funding of water quality activities are listed here.

Alliance Citizen Monitoring Program
The Alliance Citizen Monitoring program is a regional network of more than 145 trained volunteers who perform weekly water quality tests that help track the condition of waters flowing toward the Chesapeake Bay. Data from these tests are available to download from this site.
